EVO Student Win Best Private Housing at the GSL Awards

EVO Student are delighted to have won the Best Private Housing category at the 2026 GSL Awards. Revealed at a spectacular ceremony at Horizon 22 in London, one of the capital’s most striking venues, this recognition places EVO Student at the very top of private student accommodation in the UK and Ireland.

What are the GSL awards?

The GSL Awards are based exclusively on direct feedback from hundreds of thousands of students around the world every year. With no written nominations and no ‘expert’ judges, the GSL Awards are uniquely credible and highly prized.

Data for the awards are collected through the GSL Index. Registration for universities and student accommodation providers to participate in the next wave of the GSL Index is now open.

Every category is decided 100% by students themselves, drawing on feedback from hundreds of thousands of residents through the independent GSL Index. In a sector where the student voice matters above all else, there is no higher form of validation.

Winning Best Private Housing is especially significant because it celebrates the entirety of the EVO Student portfolio. It recognises us as best-in-class across the full spectrum of what modern private student living should deliver, from location and amenities to staff, community, and the overall resident experience. Our students rated us highly on the criteria that matter most to them, and the result is clear: EVO Student sets the standard for private student housing in the UK.

This award belongs first and foremost to our residents, past and present. Their honest feedback and votes have put us on the podium, and we could not be more grateful. It is also a powerful endorsement of the hard work and dedication of our teams across every property and every part of the business. From the design and delivery of our homes to the day-to-day support our staff provide, every detail has contributed to this outcome.

Thank you

At EVO Student, part of Homes for Students, we have always set out to evolve what student living can be. Premium spaces, strong wellbeing support, and genuine community are not extras for us. They are the foundation of the experience we offer. Moments like this confirm that the work is resonating with the people who live with us, and they make every effort worthwhile.

We will continue to raise the bar. We are determined to defend this title in 2027 and to keep improving the EVO Student experience for every resident who chooses us. For now, though, we are celebrating.

Thank you to every student who voted for us. This win is yours as much as it is ours. Here’s to the next chapter.
